Job summary

PJ's Coffee is seeking a friendly barista to craft beverages and food items with care and accuracy. You will foster a positive environment for customers and staff while upholding the PJ's brand and store standards.

This role covers opening weekday shifts from 6:30 to 12:00, emphasizing fast, accurate service and welcoming interactions. Training will be provided to ensure product knowledge and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Barista experience is optional; you will be trained in the PJ's way of serving the best cup of coffee in town.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Enthusiasm for social media is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Present a positive image of PJ's customers and coworkers.
• Proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to enhance guest experience.
• Prepare all beverages and food to PJ's specifications and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the store offers excellent customer service and maintain store upkeep.
• Follow cash handling procedures accurately.
• Maintain sanitary, safety, and aesthetic store standards with daily checklists.
• Notify management about operational needs or equipment issues.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and skills.
