Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled OpenEdge Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL (Advanced Business Language). The developer should have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to understand complex business requirements, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL.
Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform system analysis, debugging, and performance tuning.
Integrate OpenEdge applications with external systems, databases, and APIs.
Support application upgrades, patches, and deployments.
Develop and maintain documentation including technical specifications and user guides.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes.
Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL (Advanced Business Language).
Experience with OpenEdge 4GL, WebSpeed, and related frameworks.
Proficiency in database design, queries, and stored procedures (OpenEdge RDBMS, SQL, etc.).
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
