OPEN SOURCE / SOCIAL MEDIA ANALYST Location: Remote | Type: Full-Time | Clearance: None

Note: Position supports 24/7 Operations with rotational shifts. Overview: DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Open Source/Social Media Analyst to monitor and analyze traditional and social media trends, assess online networking patterns, and provide actionable insights that enhance situational awareness for federal clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate online media and social networking trends to identify actionable insights
• Develop, prepare, and disseminate analytical summary reports for federal clients
• Contribute to the creation of specialized media and social networking reports tailored to client needs
• Operate and maintain web-based applications and tools used for social media analysis
• Stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in social media/networking analysis
• Participate in rotational shift work to ensure 24/7 operational coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Minimum Qualifications

• Clearance: None required
• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Intelligence Studies, or a related field
• Proficiency with tools and resources for accessing and analyzing social networking data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to remain current with developments in social media analysis

Desired Qualifications

• Educational or professional background in National or Homeland Security
• At least one year of professional experience using social networking tools and platforms
• Experience working in government or military operations centers
• Familiarity with information-sharing or processing environments

Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $52,000 – $54,000. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market data.
