Accounting is one of the six areas of the Costello College ofBusiness. The Accounting Area has diverse research and teachinginterests. We offer a vibrant, ambitious, and collegial researchand teaching community. Research is highly valued in the area andat the school. At present, there are 18 full-time faculty membersin the area. The Accounting Area faculty has published in many ofthe premier accounting journals including The Accounting Review,Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting andEconomics, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Review ofAccounting Studies, as well as other top journals.
The Open Rank Term Faculty Member teaches courses in undergraduateand graduate programs effectively and positively contributes to theacademic environment. The Open Rank Term Faculty Member also provides service to the Accounting Area, the Costello College ofBusiness, the University, the profession, and interfaces withstudents and the business community. This is a full-time positionwith benefits. Rank and salary will be commensurate withqualifications and experience.
Candidates should demonstrate an established record of teachingeffectiveness, including a commitment to course design, supportingand engaging students, and continued faculty growth as regardspedagogy. Candidates should also demonstrate consistent and clearevidence of collegiality and collaboration and be willing tocontribute to various areas of service at Costello.
