Position Overview

We are excited to announce a groundbreaking leadership opportunity at our university: the inaugural Program Director & Open-Rank Professor for the newly established Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) program. This unique role offers the chance to shape the future of speech-language pathology education.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an Open-Rank Professor and Program Director for the MS in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Facilitate learning, engage in scholarship, service, or a combination of activities.
  • Oversee academic planning, faculty recruitment, retention, development, and budget management.
  • Ensure the quality of the student academic experience.
  • Shape program philosophy, curriculum, and faculty composition.
  • This is a 12-month remote position requiring travel for on-ground residencies.
Compensation and Benefits

Starting Salary: $112,000 - $125,000 annually, based on experience.

Benefits include: 401K, Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts for Health & Dependent Care.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral or equivalent terminal degree (not limited to Speech-Language Pathology) from an accredited institution.
  • Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related fields.
  • At least three years of full-time academic appointment at the graduate level.
  • Minimum of eight years of documented experience in Speech-Language Pathology, including clinical, administrative, and scholarly activities.
  • CCC-SLP certification from ASHA and unencumbered license in the state of residence; licensure in CA required prior to start date.
