The Department of Urology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine seeks an Open Rank Pediatric Urologist to join our core faculty. Fellowship training in Pediatric Urology is required and candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible.

This is a 12-month, full-time faculty appointment with attending privileges at Tampa General Hospital, a level 1 trauma center, and will focus on teaching, clinical care, and scholarly activity within USF Health.

  • Academic appointment at Open Rank within a university medical center.

Open Rank PEDS Urology (Finance)

The Department of Urology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank to fill the position of Pediatric Urologist. The candidate should be Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Urology. This position will join our core faculty in a growing department which has its flagship clinical site at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). The provider would work closely with our current staff members of subspecialists and with the local outreach community.

This is a full-time 12-month salaried faculty appointments open rank and carries with it attending staff privileges at TGH. TGH is a level 1 trauma center that serves as tertiary care facilty covering south central and west Florida.Medical degree / Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate/Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be recognized authority in the field or specialization.

Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Urology.

Dedicate clinical efforts to improving medical and surgical outcomes for pediatric urology patients with a focus on prevention.

Ease of referral from TGH ER, Brandon Healthplex and within patient radius.

Engage in broad CME sessions within community to promote center and faculty as thought leaders in the community and region.

Enhance current urology residency experiences by offering a unique rotation focused on demonstrating multi-disciplinary care and experiences with specialists focused on care of complex pediatric urology surgery patients.

Support resident-driven research experience by discussing pediatric urology diseases with cohort opportunities.

Within two years, assist with establishing a Pediatric Urology-fellowship training program.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a state university. Responsible for teaching, service, and related activities. May be responsible for research and/or academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on univeristy and/or Statewide committees.
