Position Summary

The Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an outstanding individual to join our Abdominal Imaging section. Discover what makes this remarkable academic medical center one of the best places to work in the Southwest! This position also offers the opportunity to apply for the Abdominal Section Chief.

In-person, hybrid, and remote options are available, as well as academic and staff (100% clinical) positions. Clinical responsibilities include primary diagnostic and consultative service in Abdominal and Oncologic Imaging (X-ray/Fluoro, CT, MRI, US) for exams performed at multiple locations, but no interventional procedures. Section members typically rotate at our adjacent NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and participate in clinical consultations, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary conferences. Research opportunities include diverse and growing translational imaging and image processing facilities supported by dedicated research and publications staff.

Positions are available in person, hybrid, and remote. All applicants are welcome, including those seeking J-1 waiver/H-1B sponsorship.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain state licensure in New Mexico
  • Abdominal/body/oncologic imaging fellowship completed by contract start date, or comparable experience
  • ABR board certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by contract start date
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in working with residents and fellows in an academic radiology setting
