Job summary

The Department of Neurobiology at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track/tenured faculty position. We welcome candidates at all levels addressing fundamental neuroscience questions or disease mechanisms. The ideal candidate will pursue interdisciplinary approaches across genetics, molecular neuroscience, systems/circuit neuroscience, computation, behavior and cognition.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a neuroscience-related field.
• Preference for early-career candidates at the Assistant Professor level; exceptional candidates at Associate/Full Professor level will be considered.
• Strong research accomplishments, creativity, teaching excellence, professional contributions, and service to the academic community.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active and innovative research program.
• Contribute to mentoring and training activities at UCLA.
• Teaching and service duties will align with other tenure-track/tenured faculty members in the DGSOM.
