Job summary

The UCLA Department of Neurobiology invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track/tenured faculty position. We welcome candidates at all levels whose research addresses fundamental neuroscience questions or disease mechanisms. Ideal candidates pursue interdisciplinary approaches across genetics, molecular neuroscience, systems, computation, behavior, and cognition.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a neuroscience-related field.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. in a neuroscience-related field.
• Preference for early-career candidates at the Assistant Professor level; exceptional candidates at Associate/Full Professor level will be considered.
• Evaluation emphasizes research accomplishments and creativity, teaching excellence, professional contributions, and service to the academic community.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active and innovative research program.
• Contribute to mentoring and training activities at UCLA.
• Teach and provide service consistent with other tenure-track/tenured faculty members in the DGSOM.
