Job summary

University of Virginia seeks an open-rank faculty-level scientist in Neurology with neurodegeneration or caregiver science expertise. The recruit will join UVA Brain Institute and contribute to a major University-wide neuroscience initiative, linking bench research to bedside care.

Clinicians should be board-eligible or -certified and will provide adult neurology, neuropsychology, sleep or behavioral psychology care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/PhD or equivalent with an ongoing innovative research program.
• Strong ability to translate bench findings to bedside and attract extramural funding.
• Clinicians to be board-eligible or board-certified in neurology, neuropsychology, sleep or behavioral psychology.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment of open-rank faculty in neurology and related neuroscience areas.
• Foster connections between fundamental and applied sciences across UVA and the Brain Institute.
• Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; provide clinical care where appropriate.
