The Director of Labor and Delivery will balance clinical and administrative activities, aiming to be an influential leader in the vision to make the system the safest and most innovative academic health system for both high and low risk labor and delivery patients.
Opportunities include medical education, participation in statewide perinatal quality collaborative initiatives, and research.
Our OB/GYN residency program includes 24 residents and ACGME-accredited fellowships in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecological Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- MD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution; board-eligible/certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Meet university criteria for appointment at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level, with demonstrated achievement in teaching, research, and service.
- Interest in educating residents and fellows.
- Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Florida.
- Record of academic productivity; salary and rank depend on experience and external funding. Preference given to candidates with established research programs and grant portfolios transferable to USF. Participation in education and mentoring is expected. - CLINICAL: Provide general and high-risk Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including outpatient, delivery, and surgical procedures.
- TEACHING: Educate medical students and residents through lectures, rounds, and clinical activities in clinics, labor, delivery, and OR.
- ADMINISTRATIVE: Oversee Labor & Delivery operations.
- Professional development and service activities.
- Report to a Chair or senior administrator; responsible for teaching, research, service, and administrative duties, including academic advising.
