Open Rank - Integrated Pediatric Psychologist (Flex Position) (PhD/PsyD)

Job Summary: Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has an opening for a coverage/flex position (PhD/PsyD) – open rank Integrated Pediatric Psychologist. This faculty position is responsible for direct clinical care, teaching, supervision, and program development with focus on integrated behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families in medical subspecialty outpatient, inpatient, multidisciplinary clinics, and primary care settings. Work location will be determined based on organizational need and may be at any of the Children's Hospital Colorado system sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide integrated behavioral health services across ambulatory clinics, multidisciplinary clinics, hospital inpatient settings, and primary care sites within the Children's Hospital Colorado system.
• Consult pediatric medical teams on behavioral health and environmental factors impacting child well‑being, including adherence, compliance, adjustment to medical diagnosis and treatment, mental health, behavioral, developmental, and family factors.
• Collaborate with medical teams, allied health professionals, and community partners to deliver comprehensive, team‑based care.
• Use evidence‑based assessment and treatment approaches for children and adolescents with medical, behavioral, developmental, and mental health concerns.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating integrated behavioral health programming in health‑care settings.
• Engage in teaching, supervision, and scholarship, including collaboration on grants and contracts with hospital and community partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD and/or PsyD.
  • Clinical experience at the education level/ rank (instructor, senior instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, professor) as per following:
    • Instructor / Sr. Instructor: 1–3 years of related clinical or research experience at rank or equivalent.
    • Assistant Professor: 1–3 years of related experience at rank or equivalent.
    • Associate Professor: 4–7 years of related experience at rank or equivalent.
    • Professor: 7+ years of related experience at rank or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated skills in developmentally and diagnostically appropriate screening and assessment tools.
  • Experience using evidence‑based treatment models (e.g., motivational interviewing, consultation models, behavioral and developmental interventions).
  • 1–3 years serving as a supervisor for psychology trainees.
  • Experience consulting with professional colleagues and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to deliver services in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Clinical skill required to conduct brief, targeted assessments and consultations in integrated health‑care settings.
  • Strong collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to varied work situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for information sharing, training, supervision, and community presentations.
  • Organized multitasking and time‑management ability.

Open Track. Faculty at the Assistant Professor level or higher may choose a track that reflects their area of excellence. Ranks of Instructor and Senior Instructor will be on the TTE track and may switch tracks later.
