Florida State University Panama City invites applications for a Teaching Faculty Open Rank in History and Social Science (Panama City Campus). This full-time position is offered for 9 or 12 months with a focus on American and World History within the Interdisciplinary Social Sciences program.

The successful candidate will teach dual-enrollment and undergraduate courses, collaborate with colleagues on recruitment and program promotion, and have opportunities to engage in research and supervise

Qualifications

• PhD in History or related field from an accredited institution.
• ABD candidates will be considered.
• Master’s degree in History with a related doctoral degree will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach dual-enrollment and undergraduate courses in Liberal Studies and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with focus on American and World History.
• Collaborate with on-campus and community colleagues to recruit students and promote the ISS program.
• Coordinate with Tallahassee ISS for course planning and committee work.
• Engage in research and supervise student projects when possible.

PhD in History or related field

ABD (all but dissertation)

Master's in History with related doctoral degree
