Overview

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health seeks open-rank faculty members to expand our neuromodulation and/or interventional psychiatry research. We are looking for clinician-researchers whose programs focus on evidence-based neuromodulation treatments for psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders and addictions, or both. The ideal candidates will have expertise in neuromodulation techniques (e.g., transcranial magnetic stimulation, low frequency ultrasound, psilocybin, ketamine/esketamine) and may have experience evaluating mechanisms, moderators, clinical outcomes, treatment satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness. Faculty will join a multi-disciplinary team within the Mood and Anxiety Program and/or the Addiction Program and are expected to contribute to training, research, and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities

• Join a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and scientists within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, contributing to research, training, and clinical programs.
• Develop and lead research programs in neuromodulation and interventional psychiatry, including evaluation of mechanisms, moderators, clinical and functional outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.
• Engage in teaching and training of residents, medical students, postdocs, and interns in interventional psychiatry methods.
• Contribute to clinical care as applicable for licensed clinicians or work in a research-focused capacity for non-clinical candidates (e.g., PhD) with demonstrated commitment to clinical training and care.
• Secure external research funding and collaborate within the Mood and Anxiety Program and/or Addiction Program to advance the department's mission.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program and eligibility for licensure in Ohio; licensed by appointment for clinical degrees.
• Experience or interest in neuromodulation techniques and interventional psychiatry; evidence of research funding and the ability to lead or contribute to clinical, educational, and research programs.
• Preferred: experience in training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care; ability to work with patients in neuromodulation-related areas.
