Overview

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking open-rank faculty to join the Addiction Program to enhance our research mission. The specific research focus within substance use disorders remains open. Applicants with expertise in randomized clinical trial designs, overdose risk, and treatment recovery are particularly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an externally funded program of research.
• Publish research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
• Mentor trainees across levels of academic development.
• Participate in division, department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
• Contribute to education and clinical program development within the Addiction Program.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree (M.D. or Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program, and training aligned with licensure and clinical practice in Ohio.
• In some cases, candidates with substantial research programs and funding but without clinical training or eligibility may be considered if they are committed to training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care (e.g., Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience or similar).
