Job summary

The University of Austin (UATX) invites applications for faculty in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Concentration. Appointments may be at Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, with a Fall 2027 start.

Part-time options are considered; compensation includes benefits and a research stipend. UATX operates on a quarter schedule with a strong emphasis on undergraduate teaching and substantive research agendas.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or closely related field.
• Strong teaching ability.
• A record of computer science research or advanced work in technology.
• Multidisciplinary viewpoint and breadth of interest within the hard sciences.
• Ability to mentor students in a variety of computer science/AI-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Teach CS courses across undergraduate levels and contribute to CSAI concentration.
• Mentor and advise students on research projects and career paths.
• Engage in research with external impact in startups and larger firms.
