Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law seeks a full-time clinical faculty member to direct the Center for Externships within the Bluhm Legal Clinic. The director will lead practicum courses and externship programs, mentor faculty, and advance legal education through courtroom and classroom guidance.

The role emphasizes teaching, program development, and collaboration with development and marketing teams.

Formación

• J.D. degree from ABA-accredited law school.
• At least four years of legal practice experience.
• Experience teaching law or supervising attorneys.
• Understanding of externship pedagogy and organization.

Responsabilidades

• Assist students in securing educational externships supervised by experienced attorneys.
• Teach the Judicial Practicum, Public Interest Practicum, and/or other Practicum courses as needed, including developing syllabi, creating assignments, interacting with externship supervisors, and assessing student performance.
• Oversee all Practicum courses, including ensuring compliance with ABA Standards, identifying and assisting professors, responding to student inquiries, and assisting with development of new courses.
• Develop policies and procedures for Practicum courses and externships.
• Create training materials for externship supervisors.
• Participate in Bluhm Legal Clinic and Law School meetings, events and committee work.
• Promote the work of the Center to the Law School and to the community; and
• Work with the Law School's development and marketing teams for Center stewardship and promotion.
