Job description

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a world-renowned center for oncological care and research. The Department of Musculoskeletal Imaging, Division of Diagnostic Imaging at MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applications for a full-time, open rank clinical faculty appointment. The department prides itself on its balanced work-life and collegial culture.

The Musculoskeletal Imaging Department consists of 11 musculoskeletal radiologists who provide diagnostic imaging services to diagnose, stage, and follow-up patients with known or suspected malignancy using conventional radiographs, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET). Members of the department are responsible for the following:

  1. Delivering excellent, comprehensive, and compassionate care for patients;
  2. Providing multimodality approaches to musculoskeletal imaging including CT, MRI, whole body MRI, PET, and conventional radiography;
  3. Educating medical students, residents, and fellows;
  4. Developing academic and scholarly programs and projects; and
  5. Fostering interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to clinical care, research, and education.

Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence and service, have potential to be outstanding in their field of expertise, and share an interest in fulfilling the common goals of MD Anderson. Preferred applicants will possess and demonstrate knowledge or skills such as excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the potential of a leadership role within the department.

Qualified applicants must also have a medical degree, a board-certification or be board eligible by the American Board of Radiology, licensure by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, certification in either Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and have post-residency fellowship training in a musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, and/or body imaging program. Prior research experience and publications are desirable, but not a requirement.

This position consists of a target base salary, various incentive/bonus compensation, and retirement benefits placing our remuneration package well in the 75th percentile nationally. Comprehensive health, wellness, time off, and various savings benefits are also included.

Work Location: Hybrid Onsite/Remote

This position has a target base salary of $367,990 to $569,708 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
