Job description

The University of South Florida (USF) Department of Surgery and Tampa General Hospital (TGH) are seeking a breast surgical oncologist to join the Division of Surgical Oncology. This is a full-time faculty appointment that includes attending staff privileges at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and affiliated hospitals.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization, with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
  2. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
  3. Must have current, unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Florida or be eligible for such licensure.
  4. Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Completion of a breast or surgical oncology fellowship.
  2. In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, with no exclusions.
  3. Candidate must have a completed medical degree, be board eligible or certified in General Surgery, and have completed a relevant fellowship.
