Job Summary

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz seeks a full‑time Interventional Pulmonologist (IP) at the Open Rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) to lead the Interventional Pulmonary Program. The successful candidate will develop the program, provide clinical care, and train medical students, residents, and fellows within the University’s postdoctoral training programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and grow the Interventional Pulmonary program at CU
• Perform procedural responsibilities within interventional pulmonology
• Provide clinical inpatient and outpatient consultations
• Participate in the education of medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners
• Engage in the academic mission of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division, the Center for Lungs and Breathing, and the Department of Medicine

Work Location

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

Minimum Qualifications by Rank

• Assistant Professor:
  • MD or DO required
  • Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonology with completion of an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship
  • Scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Assistant Professor level
  • Two to four years of experience
• Associate Professor:
  • MD or DO required
  • Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonology with completion of an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship
  • Scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor level
  • Current or past faculty appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor; minimum four years of experience
• Professor:
  • MD or DO required
  • Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonology with completion of an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship
  • Scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Professor level
  • Current or past faculty appointment as Associate Professor or Professor; seven years of experience

Assistant Professor: $94,668 to $250,000

Associate Professor: $105,180 to $300,000

Professor: $140,028 to $350,000
