Augusta University’s Medical College of Georgia seeks a faculty member in Anesthesiology to serve as a general anesthesiologist at Columbia County Hospital. The position may be filled at Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank, with a clinical focus and salary commensurate with experience.

The role is 100% clinical care, with responsibilities including anesthesia delivery and complete charting; faculty are expected to contribute to teaching and scholarly activity as applicable, and to

Qualifications

• MD, DO degree or foreign equivalent with ECFMG certificate.
• Current Georgia medical license.
• Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology.
• Assistant Professor - Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate postgraduate training.
• Associate Professor - Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
• Professor - Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
• Evidence of ability as a teacher; evidence of scholarship; and other duties as assigned.
• Desirable personal qualities judged on interview, biographical data, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Clinical- 100% anesthesia care to relevant patient population.
• Completion of anesthesia charting: attest procedures, preop and postop notes, and closing encounters.
