POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Internal Medicine at USF Morsani College of Medicine seeks a faculty physician specializing in diagnosing and treating Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. The team includes physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and others dedicated to providing long-term relief from IBD symptoms, minimizing flare-ups, and achieving remission. Clinical duties include hospital rotations, inpatient and outpatient endoscopy, and ambulatory clinics at the IBD Center. The candidate should also have an interest in developing a research program focused on IBD and related areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral/Medical degree from an accredited institution or equivalent, with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, research, and service.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
  • For Associate or Full Professor, a history of published work and recognition as an authority in the field.
  • Strong interest in esophageal, liver diseases, and general motility, in addition to IBD.
  • Full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent; must obtain and maintain licensure in Florida.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, or IBD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
