Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Pre-PM Maintenance Inspector for the Cortez Open Pit operations. You will inspect drilling, loading, and hauling equipment and coordinate with maintenance teams to sustain reliability and support production.

The role demands 8+ years in heavy equipment maintenance, strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics, and the ability to work safely with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years or more in maintenance of heavy equipment, drill, shovel, or related gear.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
• Effective interpersonal communication with a wide range of people.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in all weather conditions, including lifting 50 lbs.
• Proven safe work record and courageous leadership values.
• Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast-paced environment while supporting safety, environmental, and production goals.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Record maintenance activities using SAP including master data standards.
• Execute planned inspections to identify defects for planned maintenance work.
• Identify maintenance work and create work orders.
• Verify equipment condition before generating work orders.
• Generate subsequent notifications for additional work identified outside the work order.
• Provide feedback on work executed and make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform maintenance tasks in compliance with hydrocarbon management practices.
• Measure hydrocarbon cleanliness to ensure compliance with standards.
• Apply procedures and standards for hydrocarbon air and coolant management.
• Comply with site environmental standards to avoid contamination.
• Perform maintenance per procedures identified or changed through defect elimination.
• Implement corrective action plans.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
