Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking an Open Heart Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team. The role involves pulling and scrubbing cases and assisting physicians during surgery, with a focus on patient safety and intra-operative care.

Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program with current certification and BLS. One year of surgery experience in relevant areas is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Surgical Technician certification required.
• BLS Certification current.
• 1 Year of surgery experience preferred in Open heart, General, GYN, Urology, Plastics, and Orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Pulling cases and scrubbing cases during procedures.
• Assist physician with surgery and intra-operative tasks.
• Support intra-operative patient care and aseptic technique.
• Demonstrate technical skills and procedures as assigned.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while protecting patient rights and dignity.
