Job summary

SGMC Health in Valdosta, GA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Open Heart unit. You will provide patient care using the nursing process for all ages on the unit and coordinate plans of care with physicians.

Requires active GA RN license and CPR certification; one year of related experience preferred. Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and clear communication with diverse patient populations are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN License in Georgia.
• Current CPR (C) required.
• One year experience in related specialty area preferred.
• Ability to work well individually and as a team member or leader.
• Ability to read and interpret policies and think critically.
• Strong nursing skills in assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Excellent communication with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care through the nursing process for all age groups on the unit.
• Functions as patient advocate.
• Provides patient education.
• Coordinates patient’s plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
