Job summary

The Heart Hospital in Plano, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, seeks a Perfusionist to operate and monitor extracorporeal circulation equipment during cardiac procedures. You will support open‑heart surgeries, manage CPB systems, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusion staff to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience; CCP preferred; BLS required.

• Experience and CCP certifications preferred for advanced roles.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and manage cardiopulmonary bypass systems during cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusion team to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain equipment and keep detailed perfusion records.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure sterile technique and proper setup of perfusion devices.
