Atlas Copco Specialty Rental Division North America (SRDNA) is seeking an OCC mechanic in the Aledo, TX area to deliver expert repair services and maintain performance of technology solutions. The role requires reading blueprints, welding in stainless or carbon steel, and operating mobile equipment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on mechanical or industrial maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair ability.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and adherence to safety protocols.
• Proficient with hand tools, portable power tools, and mobile equipment.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily work.
• Salesforce experience is a plus; willingness to learn and participate in training.

Responsibilities

Your role

Your mission as the Open-Clean-Close (OCC) mechanic is to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.

You will have knowledge in:

• Pipe Fitting Skills - Proficient working knowledge to maintain and install piping, tubing, and hose-type fluid and air transfer systems safely and effectively. Ability or familarity with reading designs
• Mechanical Fasteners - Proficient working knowledge, skills, and abilities required to properly identify and safely and effectively maintain and install various types of threaded fasteners and retaining rings. Knowledge of ASTM and SAE fastener grade markings, thread standards, torque requiements, and washer requirements
• Hand Tools & Portable Power Tools - Proficient working knowledge, skills and abilities to properly identify and safetly and effectively use and maintain hand tools and portable power tools on a routine basis while performing maintenance tasks
• Safety - Adhere to all workplace safety standards, including the proper use of PPE, safe handling of tools and equipment, and strict compliance with workshop safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment. Maintain up-to-date OSHA certifications
• Mobile Equipment Operation - Certified or willing to be certified on-site to safely and effectively operate a forklift, man basket and lull
• Blueprint Reading - Capable of reading blueprints and translating designs into actual builds
• Welding - Demonstrates basic skills and ability to weld stainless or carbon steel in both stick and TIG

To succeed, you will need

• You have 3-5+ years of hands-on experience, mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred (welding, fabrication or piping experience is a plus)
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school training preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Familarity with OSHA safety standards, and commitment to following all safety protocols
• Comfortable using hand tools, portable power tools, and mobile equipment
• Exhibit a strong work ethic both independently and collaboratively - punctiual, reliable and accountable
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation accuracy
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and supervisors
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and development
• Ability to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 50lbs as part of daily work in a workshop enviornment
• Able to navigate mobile apps to clock in/out, manage work emails and stay connected with colleagues via Teams, (Salesforce experience is a plus)
