Job summary

Allen Integrated Solutions seeks an Ontologist - Expert System Integrator to lead and oversee ontology-based solutions across NSG/ASG systems. You will guide end-to-end SDLC activities, ensure data and source exposure, and deliver optimized, mission-centric capabilities for government programs in a 100% onsite Springfield, VA environment.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain it, 18+ years in system integration or engineering, and deep knowledge of BFO/CCO ontologies, MBSE, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related STEM field; or 18+ years’ work experience as a Systems Integrator.
• 18+ years of government or industry experience in DoD/IC acquisition, requirements, NGA production/dissemination, IC TCPED.
• Expert experience in system integration or system engineering in government or industry.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Basic Formal Ontology (BFO) frameworks and Common Core Ontologies (CCO).
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools and languages.
• Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
• Documented work experience in geospatial intelligence.
• Knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert government guidance on vision, strategy, plans, requirements, and process/capability development.
• Conducts solution assessments, scheduling analysis, and cross-service integration to enable mission functions.
• Translates mission and customer requirements into products and capabilities; partners with Product Managers for backlog grooming and roadmap sequencing.
• Plans and analyzes requirements, architecture traceability, procedures, and problem identification to improve systems and evaluate cloud service capabilities.
• Interprets and implements customer data requirements.
• Influences and collaborates with IPOs, CDO, and other CIOT providers to meet content conveyance goals.
• Assists with AoAs/CoAs/Trade Studies and engineering assessments.
• Leads technical teams for design, implementation, and governance of ontology frameworks for GEOINT.
• Supports strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk, and interface design.
• Works well as a team member and as a team leader under tight deadlines.
• Maintains Agile schedule tracking (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

They lead and oversee planning, implementation approaches, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for total cloud services, systems or subsystems using defined processes and tools. They provide end-to-end system development life cycle support to the program Provide Subject Matter Expertise to shorten the timeline associated with adopting, integrating, and properly exposing new Sources/Suppliers products/services and develop trade space options for efficient planning, programming, budgeting, and execution cycles.

Responsibilities

Duties include:

• Providesexpert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.
• Conducts solution assessments, scheduling analysis, and integration across IPO product lines and other services to enable mission functions.
• Capture and translate mission and customer requirements into products and capabilities for optimized solutions; partner with Product Managers for backlog grooming and roadmap sequencing of features.
• Conducts: planning; captures, analyzes, traces user requirements; architecture traceability, procedures, and problem identification to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations for existing user workflows and to enable improvements.
• Provideexpertiseto interpret and implement customer data requirements
• Ability to effectively influence and seamlessly work with IPOs, Chief Data Officer (CDO), and other CIOT capability providers to meet the goals of Content Conveyance
• Assists with Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
• Provides expert-level support by leading technical teams for the design, implementation, and governance of processes and frameworks of ontology that guide the creation, management, evolution, and use of Foundation GEOINT consistent with organizational requirements.
• Assists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, riskmanagementand interface design.
• Strong teamplayer, self-starter, comfortable working in a complex/multifaceted development environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader under tight deadlines managing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-contractor / government organization
• Maintain and track an Agile schedule inan appropriate projectmanagement capability (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, ontologies, or related STEM degree program, or 18+yearswork experience as a Systems Integrator.
