Responsibilities

• Build and load all pre-sale and route sale loads daily, ensuring loads are picked and loaded correctly the first time.
• Maintain knowledge of VIP system functions and operations.
• Monitor loading procedures to reduce damage and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with delivery and fleet maintenance for truck availability.
• Communicate with sales, delivery and warehouse teams to ensure coordination.
• Maintain cleanliness and security of the facility.
• Comply with Stein company policies and procedures.
• Maintain FIFO to ensure product freshness.
• Report equipment and facility repairs to the Operations Manager.
• Document product pickups and deposits; manage deposits as needed.
• Work with inventory to keep accurate counts of goods.

I. OBJECTIVE / GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Understand and maintain a working knowledge of Stein Distributing total distribution and warehousing objectives and guidelines. Assist with the needs of the delivery and sales department throughout the day.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and load all pre-sale and route sale loads daily. Ensure every load has been picked and loaded accurately the first time. Trucks are to be preloaded, secure and ready for delivery.
• Have full working knowledge of VIP system, functions, and operations.
• Constantly observe picking and loading procedures to reduce product breakage and damage. Improve operating efficiencies.
• Coordinate with delivery and fleet maintenance departments for truck availability and capacities.
• Maintain open communication with sales, delivery, and warehouse departments to ensure timely, accurate and efficient coordination.
• Ensure the upkeep, cleanliness, and security of the facility always.
• Must know and comply with Stein company policies and procedures. Expedite work objectives.
• Maintain FIFO policy to ensure products freshness.
• Restrict and limit access to product storage areas to warehouse personnel.
• Report all needed equipment, and facility repairs and services to Operation Manager.
• Monitor the need for bank deposits to ensure proper amount of cash is always on hand.
• Document and manage all product pickups and deposits.
• Work with the inventory specialist to keep accurate count of all product coming in and out of the warehouse.

IV. QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be capable of lifting 165 lbs. and be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and repetitively.
• Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, squat, sit, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Forklift certified.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Must Pass a criminal background check and drug test prior to employment.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the Oregon Warehouse.
