Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows Platform Engineer to support enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and network operations within a large-scale Department of Defense environment. This position is 100% onsite in Norfolk, VA, Honolulu, HI, or San Diego, CA.

The Windows Platform Engineer will administer, secure, and maintain Windows Server environments, implement STIGs, patch management, and vulnerability remediation while coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments or enterprise infrastructure.
Experience with patching, IAVA remediation, STIG compliance, and vulnerability mitigation.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Active Secret security clearance and Security+ certification required.

Responsibilities

Perform Windows Server patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities across enterprise environments.
Build, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 systems.
Support the full infrastructure lifecycle, including installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Execute STIG remediation activities and ensure systems maintain compliance with security and operational standards.
Collaborate with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues and improve reliability and security.
