Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows & Linux System Administrator to support a government-focused RDT&E environment. This 100% onsite role is based in San Diego, CA, where you will maintain, secure, and enhance enterprise infrastructure across classified environments while contributing to modernization efforts.

Requirements include 3+ years Windows and 3+ years RHEL administration, PowerShell/Bash scripting, STIG/IAVM compliance, and active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows systems in secure environments.
• Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Scripting experience with PowerShell and Bash.
• IAVM process experience including STIG implementation and patch management.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required; DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification preferred.
• Experience with Ansible automation and endpoint security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows 11 and RHEL systems within secure environments.
• Develop, execute, and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate tasks.
• Perform infrastructure engineering reviews and provide system recommendations.
• Harden servers per DISA STIGs and cybersecurity standards.
• Support Ansible automation, asset management, procurement, shipping logistics, and SOP development.
