Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative to observe water and wastewater construction activities in Asheville, NC. The role involves daily site observations, documentation, progress photo logs, and preparing reports on progress, quality, schedule, and budget, under general supervision from the HDR Project Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction, has multidisciplinary project experience, and can read drawings and contracts while working

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
• Demonstrated construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or related construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction activities for wastewater and pumpstation projects.
• Maintain daily records of site conditions, issues, and communications.
• Photograph construction progress and catalog photos.
• Prepare reports on Contractor progress, quality, schedule, and budget status.
• Review contractor pay requests and pay applications.
• Coordinate with HDR Project Manager and attend progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and applicable codes and safety policies.
