Job summary

ACE is seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of complex water and wastewater facility construction projects, working with project managers and field teams on site at DC Water’s Blue Plains facility.

You will assist with estimating, submittals, RFIs, and daily project coordination, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with requirements. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years of construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating efforts including collecting bids and supporting change order pricing.
• Support preconstruction activities and purchasing efforts.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
• Perform quality control checks on materials and documentation.
• Coordinate with superintendents and field crews to support daily operations.
• Track deliveries, materials, and equipment on site.
• Assist with project scheduling and updating progress.
• Prepare and track RFIs and project documentation.
• Review invoices and assist with budget and cost tracking.
• Support subcontractor coordination and performance tracking.
• Maintain project records and assist with reporting.
• Help prepare work plans and support major field activities.
