Job summary

Nidec Corporation is seeking a Resident Engineer for the General Motors (GM) Team, located in Warren, MI. This position focuses on providing primary onsite technical support throughout vehicle development and production launches.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years of automotive engineering experience. Responsibilities include liaising with GM teams, managing Engineering Change Requests, and leading vehicle-level testing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automotive engineering, ECUs, switches vehicle development as a 1st Tier Supplier.
• Knowledge of vehicle development stages and Advanced Product Quality Planning tools.
• Proficiency with GM-specific systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for GM teams during vehicle development.
• Initiate Engineering Change Requests and track design changes.
• Lead testing for ECUs and prepare technical documentation.
