Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Vascular Sonographer for our Newton-Wellesley Hospital site. The role performs non-invasive vascular ultrasound exams, ensuring patient safety while delivering high-quality diagnostic images.

Documentation and timely communication of findings are essential as part of a collaborative cardiovascular care team. The position is full-time, 36 hours, onsite at 2014 Washington Street, Newton, with a generous sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Association degree in diagnostic medical sonography or vascular technology required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred and RVT certification preferred.
• BLS certification preferred and hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound examinations per physician orders and protocols.
• Prepare patients, review history, and ensure comfort during studies.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Evaluate findings for arterial/venous disease, stenosis, aneurysms, and more.
• Document findings in EMR and report urgent results to physicians promptly.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team for coordinated care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with policies.
