Onsite Test Engineer – Automation & DFx Lead

Job summary

The Test Engineer at Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. supports production for test equipment, performing hardware setup and software development tailored to customer needs. The role is 100% onsite and reports to the Test Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities include PCB layout with Altium Designer, DFx participation, test automation, data analysis and customer reporting, plus training for operators and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 7 years experience as alternative.
• Experience with networking hardware and software.
• Experience designing test fixtures.
• Experience with automated test equipment, calibration and configuration management.
• Genrad ICT development and debugging a plus.
• Languages: Visual Basic, .NET, C++, C, LabVIEW and Shell Scripting.
• Applications: MS Office, AutoCAD, Altium Designer, Visual Basic and Master Control.
• Knowledge and use of an ERP system.
• Flying probe development and debugging a plus.
• Ability to interpret drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methods.

Responsibilities

• Design circuit board layout for new and existing test stations using Altium Designer.
• Support production with failure analysis, test debugging, reduction of false failures and downtime.
• Lead test improvement, automation, and test coverage enhancements.
• Review capital investments to improve capabilities and capacity.
• Prepare technical reports and test data analyses for customers and management.
• Provide training in new procedures to production test operators and technicians.
