Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Technology Solutions Design Engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of Security, Audio Visual, IT Infrastructure, and other technology systems in building projects. This onsite role will support teams in the Dallas-Plano or Houston, Texas offices, offering hands‑on training and exposure to high‑performing facilities.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering, internship experience in technology design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Interest in Technology Systems and Electrical Engineering.
• Internship or co‑op experience in a technology solutions design role.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to travel locally for field work.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed layout and equipment details of Technology systems of buildings.
• Produce one-line diagrams/schematics.
• Assist the design team in the process of assembling organized sets of drawings.
• May assist in the data collection and/or field verification.
• Work in conjunction with designers and engineers to help develop all aspects of a project.
• Effectively manage and prioritize responsibilities to meet project deadlines.
