Job summary

CyberTeck Academy is seeking an enthusiastic part-time intern to teach technology classes at schools in the DC/MD/VA area. No experience required; paid training and curricula are provided. Classes run 6 to 8 weeks, with a minimum of 2 days per week.

Shifts occur after-school or on weekends, with compensation per class shift. A valid vehicle is required to transport laptops and equipment to sites.

Qualifications

• Familiar with video and/or computer games.
• Enjoys working with and teaching kids between 5 and 14 years of age.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work well independently.
• Must be able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.
• PLUS: some experience with basic programming, Minecraft, Lego Robotics, or any 3D modeling software.
• PLUS: some child-care, teaching and/or tutoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick up equipment from our local facility and travel to assigned school.
• Show up ON TIME - we are responsible for children.
• Set up laptops and related equipment for 8-12 children.
• Teach Minecraft Programming, Game Design, Animation, and/or Lego Robotics classes.
• Ensure students safely leave with appropriate parents or staff.
