Job summary

Bethanyswine in Armour, SD is seeking a Filter Compliance Technician to oversee biosecurity audits of swine facilities and maintain air filtration systems.

This full-time onsite role involves collaborating with on-site technicians, performing routine inspections, and ensuring protocol compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2+ years livestock experience, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years livestock experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Biosecurity audits of interior and exterior swine facilities to ensure measures are in place and effective.
• Inspect transition areas to confirm protocol adherence, rodent baiting, feed bin management and cleanliness.
• Perform daily audits of ventilation systems and attic spaces to monitor filter effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to airlock protocols and disinfection/downtime (D/D) room procedures.
• Monitor and manage inventory of equipment and supplies in biosecure areas.
• Collaborate with on-site technicians and participate in monthly audits with company leaders.
