Nulixir Inc. in Austin is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Operations & Quality Specialist to drive day-to-day execution of receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping at our manufacturing site.

You will translate production plans into actionable material readiness, while supporting material traceability, GMP-compliant warehouse procedures and supplier quality issues. The role emphasizes on-site work, process improvement, and collaboration with Quality and Production teams to ensure

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain operations, inventory management, warehouse operations, manufacturing or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with physical inventory, production schedules and lot-controlled materials.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, warehousing, inventory management and material-flow processes.
  • Experience developing or implementing SOPs, work instructions and structured operational processes.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS or inventory-management systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, Production and Warehouse teams.
  • Willingness to work primarily onsite and spend significant time on the warehouse and production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee onsite receiving of ingredients, packaging materials and other production-critical supplies.
  • Physically verify incoming materials, including quantities, lot information, condition and applicable documentation.
  • Ensure receiving records, COAs and other required documentation are accurately completed and maintained.
  • Coordinate large inbound deliveries based on warehouse capacity, production schedules and outbound activity.
  • Ensure materials are appropriately identified, statused and stored in designated warehouse locations.
  • Identify damaged, incorrect or nonconforming materials and coordinate resolution with the Supply Chain Manager, Quality Manager and suppliers.
  • Support raw-material intake activities, including documentation review, retain samples and coordination of required identity testing.
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory and material-location records for ingredients, packaging, WIP and finished goods.
  • Lead monthly inventory counts and conduct routine cycle counts as required.
  • Ensure receipts, transfers, production consumption, returns, adjustments and shipments are accurately reflected in applicable inventory systems.
  • Maintain lot-level traceability and accurate rack/shelf-level material locations.
  • Investigate physical-to-system inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
  • Manage expiration and at-risk inventory, including established 60-day/30-day expiration reviews.
  • Maintain appropriate controls and physical segregation for Quarantined, Released, Hold, Rejected and expired materials.
  • Support FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where applicable.
  • Conduct onsite pre-production readiness checks to confirm required ingredients, packaging components and labels are physically available, correctly identified, released and available in sufficient quantities before production.
  • Translate production schedules into daily onsite material and packaging requirements.
  • Maintain applicable build plans, packaging-planning tools and finished-goods trackers.
  • Coordinate staging of ingredients and packaging for upcoming production.
  • Ensure the correct packaging components, labels and build plans are being used during production.
  • Provide day-to-day onsite direction to warehouse and packaging personnel based on production, inbound and outbound priorities.
  • Troubleshoot material, packaging and inventory issues that arise during production.
  • Following production, reconcile materials issued, consumed, returned and scrapped; investigate significant discrepancies and ensure unused materials are properly returned and recorded.
  • Coordinate preparation and staging of finished goods for customer pickups and shipments.
  • Physically verify finished-goods SKU, lot, quantity and final pallet counts against customer orders and shipment plans.
  • Confirm Quality release before finished goods are loaded for shipment.
  • Ensure the correct pallets and quantities are loaded onto the correct trucks.
  • Prepare and maintain bills of lading, shipping checklists, packing slips and applicable finished-goods shipment records.
  • Maintain required shipment documentation and photographic records.
  • Coordinate customer pickup and shipment execution as required.
  • Maintain lot-level traceability between finished goods and customer shipments.
  • Ensure finished-goods inventory is accurately updated following shipment.
  • This physical verification is particularly important given the current limitations of managing shipment accuracy remotely.
  • Coordinate shipment of laboratory, client and routine production samples.
  • Prepare applicable sample labels and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure cold-chain and time-sensitive samples are appropriately packed and shipped.
  • Coordinate urgent or international shipments when required.
  • Ensure samples are shipped within applicable carrier deadlines and maintain appropriate shipment records.
  • We are looking for someone who is hands-on, highly organized, detail-oriented and systems-minded.
  • The right candidate should be equally comfortable physically verifying an incoming material, investigating an inventory discrepancy, making sure tomorrow's production has the correct ingredients and packaging, confirming the right pallets are loaded for a customer, and improving the underlying process or SOP so the same issue does not happen again.
