Job summary

The Fischer Group in Kentucky is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to help create practical, constructible structural solutions for Fischer Homes’ products. You will design basic components, evaluate field conditions, and produce repair drawings to prevent delays.

You will work with cross-functional teams and apply code analyses to ensure compliant, high-quality designs for both new and existing homes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• FE certification.
• Residential engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design basic structural components for new and existing home designs.
• Evaluate field conditions and develop repair drawings.
• Resolve construction challenges to avoid schedule delays.
• Provide drafting and design support to MEP and other teams.
• Perform IRC/IBC code analysis to ensure compliant design.

Education
