Job summary
Zachary Piper Solutions in Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking an onsite Storage Engineer to support a government program focused on mission-critical data storage, reliability, and secure operations.
The role requires coordinating with infrastructure and security teams, managing SAN/NAS storage, backups, and recovery, and driving automation and monitoring to improve performance and availability for Linux/Windows platforms.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage environments (SAN/NAS)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with replication, snapshots, RAID, storage provisioning, LUN/volume management
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows servers with attached storage
- Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies
- Ability to monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot storage and server performance
- Eligible to work in the United States with active TS/SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise data storage infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on data protection and storage architecture
- Investigate and resolve storage availability, recovery, or performance issues
- Support lifecycle management including upgrades and maintenance
- Identify opportunities to automate operations and implement proactive monitoring
