Job summary

Vivolac Cultures Corporation is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accountant to own reconciliations, fixed assets, payroll and benefits entries, and expense reporting while supporting month- and year-end close. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenfield, Indiana.

You will partner with the Controller, manage journal entries, payroll processing, and the fixed asset register, with opportunities to shape accounting policies and procedures across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping; SAP Business One preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong time management, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Eager to learn and quick to pick up new processes.
• Commitment to honesty, trustworthiness, and high ethical standards.
• Able to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain account balances.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports (Sales, Employee Credit Card Charges, A/R and A/P reports).
• Partner with Human Resources to compile, calculate and report bi-weekly payroll to outside payroll company.
• Record all journal entries related to payroll processing.
• Manage, enter, reconcile, and pay all employee benefit billings.
• Review credit card charges, transfer funds, and record related invoices and payments.
• Enter and process payments for certain key vendors (credit card accounts, payroll garnishments, and other nontypical invoices).
• Own the employee expense report process end to end, including posting monthly travel and sales expenses gathered from employee expense reports.
