Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego is seeking a Test Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to support static load testing in the Test Lab. The role requires interpreting specifications, generating test parameters, and compiling data for customer reports.

You will work with Design and Tooling teams to design fixtures, plan testing schedules, and participate in test readiness reviews. This onsite position emphasizes problem-solving and adherence to customer requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 2+ years aerospace experience or higher.
• 2+ years aerospace experience and STEM degree required.
• Familiarity with space materials, adhesives, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans and procedures based on requirements.
• Collaborate with Design and Tooling to model test setups.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct static load tests and document results.
• Present at internal/external test readiness reviews and prepare materials.
• Communicate with management and customers during test execution.
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
