Onsite Solar Safety Technician

Job summary

Signal Energy is seeking a Craft Safety for solar energy projects. This position is field-based at the project site and requires daily commuting to the job site.

You will promote safety culture, assist with daily paperwork (JSA, WI, permit to work), conduct weekly site audits, manage PPE and equipment inspections, deliver toolbox talks, and collaborate with the Safety Manager and project team to meet field safety needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with OSHA 30 at minimum.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510/500 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years construction safety experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Promote company safety culture and policies on site.
• Assist with daily safety paperwork (JSA, WI, permit to work, inspections).
• Complete weekly site audits.
• Audit PPE and equipment inspections; manage tools and safety gear.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety trainings.
• Collaborate with Safety Manager and project team to meet field safety needs.
• Maintain site-specific safety plan and emergency actions.
