Job summary

Phoenix Cyber is seeking a SOC Analyst to join the client delivery team on site at the client location in Chandler, AZ. The role involves shift work with some overnight hours and requires a US citizenship and active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities include monitoring network traffic, IDS/IPS events, developing SOC SOPs, and supporting incident investigations with a proactive security posture.

Qualifications

• Two years of security experience.
• Experience handling incident response.
• Secret clearance (active).
• CEH certification or CySA+ plus DoD 8570-related certs within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic, IDS, security events and logs; distinguish intrusions from false alarms.
• Develop and maintain SOC SOPs.
• Support daily and monthly situation reporting per shift.
• Review large data sets for anomalous activity.
• Create detective content for IDS/SIEM and advise on proactive blocks.
