Job summary

Phoenix Cyber is seeking a SOC Analyst for client delivery. This is an on-site role at the client location in Chandler, AZ with shift work and some overnight duties.

The successful candidate will monitor network traffic, IDS, and SIEM alerts, maintain SOC SOPs, and assist incident response and security investigations. A Secret clearance and relevant certifications are required to qualify.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in security.
• Experience in handling incident response.
• CEH certification or CySA+ AND CSSP Analyst/IR from DOD 8570 or approved equivalents.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic, IDS, security events and logs; prioritize intrusion attempts and differentiate from false alarms.
• Develop, maintain, and follow SOC SOPs.
• Support daily and monthly situation reporting per shift.
• Proactively review large data sets for anomalous activity.
• Create detective content for IDS and SIEM; advise on proactive blocks for security architecture.
