Job summary

ZP Connect in Tampa, FL is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for on-site duties at various customer locations. The role requires fluent ASL and English, accurate interpreting, and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Part-time/flex schedule with pay range of $15.74–$65 per hour. Responsibilities include on-site interpreting, professional conduct, exemplary customer service, punctuality, and timely record keeping.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Accurate interpretation skills preferred.
• Knowledge of Deaf culture and NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct required.
• 3–5 years interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials as applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model company mission and values.
• Maintain professional attitude with customers and colleagues; provide excellent customer service.
• Be punctual and prepared for shifts; interact respectfully with colleagues and supervisors.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and participate in professional development training.
• Travel as needed; access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license may be required.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all settings.
