The Position:

Join Electrosonic Inc. as an Onsite Service Technician at our customer site in Atlanta, GA. Reporting to the Client Support Manager, you will provide AV service and support, including daily system start-up, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, client training, and live-event support. Systems include AV projection, pro audio, video, show control, interactives, and displays. You may also assist in small systems installation and video conference support. A deep understanding of computers, including PC and/or Mac OS, is essential.

Your responsibilities include diagnosing faults, repairing, testing, implementing, and operating AV systems and technologies onboard the client's site. The role requires a detail-oriented, technically skilled individual with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, capable of multitasking and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable following procedures but also confident to improvise as needed.

Key Responsibilities
AV Technician Tier 1
  • Identify and describe AV systems, components, cables, and terminations.
  • Support and troubleshoot AV systems, operating various equipment.
  • Navigate system project files for support.
  • Use AV tools and test equipment for commissioning.
  • Understand network architecture and control system software.
  • Knowledge of DSP, media servers, digital signage, and safety standards.
  • Achieve AVIXA Technologist Certification within 6 months of hire.
AV Technician Tier 2 (includes Tier 1 skills and more)
  • Extensive experience supporting AV systems in event environments.
  • Proficient with room booking, fault ticketing, and reading CAD schematics.
  • Deep understanding of network architecture, project execution, and team management.
  • Experience with projector alignment, control systems, DSPs, VC systems, and digital signage.
  • Achieve AVIXA CTS Technology Specialist certification within 6 months.
Qualifications
  • High customer service skills and ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Attention to detail, basic numeric skills, effective communication.
  • Ability to travel between sites and work occasional weekends or after-hours.
  • College degree in a related field is a plus; intermediate MS Office skills; strong desire to learn.
Work Location & Schedule

Primary: Customer site in Atlanta, GA.

Schedule: Wed-Sat 8am-6pm for 4-6 months, then Sun-Wed 10-hour shifts.
