Job summary

Strike, LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator for our Evans, CO site. This onsite role develops accurate mechanical estimates for piping, mechanical, welding, equipment setting, and facility work.

You will review bid documents, perform detailed takeoffs, validate constructability, and prepare clear proposals. You will manage multiple bids, mentor junior estimators, update cost data, and support handoff to project teams.

Qualifications

• Develop complete, accurate mechanical estimates from drawings and bid documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs for piping, welding, equipment, valves, and components.
• Analyze drawings for constructability issues and quantity discrepancies.
• Prepare labor build-ups using crew makeup and production rates.
• Utilize Supply Chain to evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks to assess risks.
• Coordinate with project teams to validate installation methods.
• Support value engineering and alternative construction approaches.
• Prepare estimate summaries, cost breakdowns, and pricing sheets.
• Maintain cost data and historical production information.
• Support conceptual and FEL estimates as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete estimates from drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs for piping, welding, equipment, and structural components.
• Analyze drawings for constructability issues, scope gaps, and quantity discrepancies.
• Prepare labor build-ups using crew makeup and production rates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and normalize vendor quotes via Supply Chain.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks to assess site conditions and risks.
• Identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and prepare clarifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering, and field teams to validate installation methods.
• Support value engineering and alternative construction approaches.
• Prepare estimate summaries, cost breakdowns, and pricing sheets for internal review.
• Maintain cost data, unit rates, and historical production information.
• Support conceptual, budgetary, and FEL-level estimates as needed.
• Provide complete estimate logic, quantities, and assumptions during handoff.
• Supply Project Controls with required cost data for accurate job setup and tracking.
• Manage multiple bids and communicate status updates to leadership.
• Ensure estimate files and documents are organized and traceable.
